Applications are now open for the 2023 cohort of the Summer of Translational Aging Research for Undergraduates (STAR U) Program at Columbia University.

In the fall of 2022, young New Yorkers and members of city agencies, hosted by the Center for Justice at Columbia University and sponsored by Columbia World Projects, spent twelve weeks together studying social justice and co-creating policy proposals in a weekly seminar. The Department of Earth and Environmental Sciences is excited to announce a new major in climate system science! The climate system science major is designed for students who are interested in how the past, present, and future climate system works and in solution strategies for the rapidly accelerating climate crisis.
