To kick off the new semester, GS students, alumni, and staff connected at the Winter Welcome Back Reception in Pulitzer Hall, hosted by the GS Development and Alumni Relations Team. More than 130 guests enjoyed dinner bites and drinks as conversation flowed. There were even raffle tickets with exciting prizes—one being lunch with our very own Dean Lisa Rosen-Metsch!
The room was full of life and a true show of GS’s alumni community.
“I don't remember seeing a room so full of people since before the pandemic,” remarked Ohad Klopman ‘22GS, co-chair of the recent alumni committee of the GS Alumni Association (GSAA). “It looked like every generation was there, from current students all the way to the earliest alumni.”
Klopman kicked off the reception by welcoming attendees, then highlighting GS’s diverse student body and the importance of lifelong engagement with the alumni community. He introduced Dean Rosen-Metsch to the stage, who continued the celebratory tone, by reflecting on the School’s recent milestones, including the first of its kind GS-specific residence hall opening in the fall.
Senior Associate Dean for Development and Alumni Relations Jill Galas Hickey added, “It was a wonderful event that connected students and alumni from across years and programs at GS.” As Klopman noted, the evening was a testament to “how vibrant the GS community is.”
