U.S. Open Serves Up Eventful Evening for GS Alumni

The Columbia Alumni Association (CAA) had its annual U.S. Open event on Wednesday, September 2 and, as with the CAA Picnic last July, GS alumni played a vital role in the day’s programming, with their own reserved table where they congregated before the matches.

Over 450 people from every school in the University gathered in the hospitality tent for dinner and drinks before heading over to the courts to enjoy watching Roger Federer and Serena Williams in their individual games.

Ira Liran '01GS, co-owner of Vita Coco natural coconut water, provided refreshment in a variety of flavors. His staff handed out containers of original as well as tangerine, peach and mango, pineapple, and açai and pomegranate-flavored coconut water.
