We are proud to announce that five GS students and five Barnard students have been selected to join the inaugural cohort of the Intrapreneurial Leadership Fellows Program (ILFP).

October 14, 2022

"I am thrilled to strengthen Barnard's connection to Columbia's School of General Studies with this innovative and exciting new program. Barnard students and Columbia's women veterans and service members have so much to learn from one another—and to teach one another," said Barnard President Sian Leah Beilock. "The ILFP is one of many innovative and empowering initiatives that Barnard's Athena Center for Leadership is launching, and I look forward to seeing how it transforms the students' experiences."

Intrapreneurs change systems from within—they innovate inside organizations. Fellows will learn how experienced intrapreneurs have approached this challenge in their organizations and learn from each other in this new community of practice, gathering over the 2022-2023 academic year to connect across personal and professional experiences and develop the skills, confidence, and relationships needed to lead change in their post-undergraduate lives.

"The Intrapreneurial Leadership Fellows Program provides an amazing opportunity for this inaugural cohort—including five student veteran women from Columbia GS—to learn from leaders in their respective fields, as well as from one another, developing skills that will help them drive societal change. I look forward to following their journeys and am overjoyed to collaborate with Barnard College’s Athena Center for Leadership, as well as the inspiring women student veteran leaders in the Columbia MilVets student organization, on this incredible initiative," said Lisa Rosen-Metsch, Dean of the Columbia University School of General Studies.

The Intrapreneurial Leadership Fellows Program is led by Dr. Loretta Brady, Director of the Community Resilience & Social Equity Lab at Saint Anselm College, and supported by guest experts from on and off the Columbia campus.
