Apply to the University Life Events Council

The University Life Events Council is responsible for providing programs and activities for all Columbia University students. The volunteer-based council includes representatives from Columbia's 17 schools and promotes community, well-being, and inclusion & belonging through free student-centered events.

The University Life Events Council is a great way for students to get involved with campus life, meet other students from different schools and gain valuable leadership experience.

Interested students should take a moment to review available positions for the 2023-2024 academic year before applying.

Successful applicants are required to complete the onboarding process, including:

  • Fall and Spring Retreat at the beginning of each semester
  • Weekly virtual planning meetings with their specified committees

Team leads and chairs will be required to attend a bi-weekly virtual meeting with their advisor as well as a bi-weekly in-person full team meeting.
