Yesterday, it was announced that GS alumna and Board of Visitors member Alicia Graf Mack ‘03GS was chosen to lead Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater. Mack, who will begin her new role next July, is currently the director of the dance division at Juilliard and is a former Alvin Ailey company member. She will be the fourth artistic director in the company's history.
In a phone interview with the New York Times, Mack said: “I have been inspired by the Ailey organization since I was a baby…I am feeling incredibly blessed and grateful for the opportunity.”
