Five GS Students Receive Women’s Forum of New York Scholarship

For these new GSers, arriving at Columbia is a chance to build on what they already know while exploring new questions, interests, and possibilities.
Students are invited to visit the GS Wellbeing Team, in-person, during the wellness walk-in hours.
GS welcomed more than 740 new students, celebrating the unique paths and shared purpose that define its community.
Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis.
Students are invited to apply for a locker in Lerner Hall for the fall semester, spring semester, or academic year. A limited number of lockers are available.
Application Deadline: Thurs., Sept. 24
The GS Mentor Program invites incoming students to apply to be paired with a mentor, and returning students to apply to serve as mentors.
Lottery Deadline: Tuesday, October 6
Students will have the opportunity to invite a Columbia or Barnard faculty member to a local restaurant for dinner and conversation.
GS’s speed networking event on October 5 will celebrate the school’s diverse community through engaging student-alumni conversations and hands-on career support.
Before coming to GS, Alaya Walton spent most of her life shaping fictional stories, from acting in LA, to writing and publishing multiple novels. But now, she’s shifting gears and working towards shaping the stories of real people, in real life.
