Position Description
- Work with a diverse team of Junior Marshals and GS administrators
- Foster a welcoming environment for graduates, their families, and special guests
- Assist staff members with various tasks to ensure that the GS Class Day ceremony runs smoothly
- Assist staff from Disability Services to accommodate guests with accessibility needs
- Interact with guests by answering questions and guiding them to their seats
- Greet VIP guests in a professional manner
- Assist in coordinating the graduating class line-up to ensure the GS Class Day ceremony begins in a timely manner
- Assist in the set-up of additional materials at the stage and seating areas
Position Requirements
Eligible for GS Thank You Gifts
- Following GS Class Day and the satisfactory completion of duties, Junior Marshals will receive $50 in their CU Flex account applied to their next semester
Time Commitment
Training Session: 1.5 hours to be scheduled
- Attending one Zoom training session is mandatory
- Two time options to be scheduled in early May based on group availability
- Applicants who do not attend training may not be able to complete Junior Marshal service and thus no longer be eligible for any Junior Marshal service Thank You gifts
- Makeup sessions may available at the discretion of GS Student Life
GS Class Day: Monday, May 18 (5:00 a.m. - 11:30 a.m.)
- Junior Marshals will report to assigned locations on the Morningside Campus
