Homecoming 2011

Columbia University welcomed alumni to Baker Field on October 15, 2011 to celebrate Homecoming.

October 15, 2011

Over 1,000 alumni and their guests attended the 2011 Homecoming pre-game picnic and carnival in the alumni tent. The School of General Studies, along with other schools and alumni organizations, hosted a table to welcome all GS alumni who attended and gave a free gift to those who stopped by. Several members of the GS Student Council and the senior class attended to meet alumni and learn more about the alumni community.

The pre-game festivities included a lunch buffet, carnival games, and bounce house attractions for children. At 3:30 p.m., GS alumni gathered in the stadium to cheer on Columbia as they battled Penn. During the second quarter, the School of General Studies was chosen as the Group of the Game. School mascot Roaree visited the GS section to deliver free pizza to celebrate. At half time, the CAA invited alumni back to the tent for dessert.

Thanks to all alumni and students who attended. We look forward to seeing you again next year!
