“It was so great to have such a good turnout and to see so many smiling faces out here today celebrating Columbia University’s homecoming despite the rainy weather,” said Dana Pasini, Associate Director of Alumni Relations. “We were thrilled to see so many of our GS alumni, students, and loved ones enjoying the day.”
Roar-ee the Lion made a customary appearance and Columbia’s cheerleading squad performed for all the attendees. Volunteers and staff from the GS Alumni Association (GSAA) were present to pass out branded tote bags, water bottles, t-shirts, hats, and other items.
The gathering empowered alumni to reconnect with old classmates, make new connections, and enjoy a festive Saturday with their friends and family members. Kick-off for the football game against Penn started at 1:30 p.m. and alongside alumni, a large number of current Columbia undergraduate students filled the bleachers to cheer the home team on.
