Columbia is one of the world’s great research universities. As an undergraduate here, you can take part in the research unfolding all over campus. Prior experience is less important than the desire to jump in! In this workshop, we will discuss the many benefits of engaging in research: how it allows you to explore your intellectual interests, grasp the limits of knowledge in your field, learn how to design and tackle a problem methodically, make connections with faculty, and prepare for future educational and career opportunities. We will explore ways to discover your research interests, reach out to potential research supervisors, and identify the research resources available to you as well as potential summer research opportunities. GS students of all years are encouraged to attend.
A Zoom link for the workshop will be sent to all registrants 1-2 hours before the start time. The session will be recorded, and the recording link will be shared with all registrants after the event.
