Navy Medicine and the COVID-19 Response: A Talk by the US Navy Surgeon General

Rear Admiral Bruce Gillingham, the US Navy Surgeon General, leads the 64,000 Navy Medicine personnel in ensuring US Navy and US Marine Corps medical readiness. In a presentation, he will provide a brief overview of the scope of Navy Medicine and then discuss the variety of ways in which Navy Medicine responded to the COVID pandemic across multiple medical disciplines and specialties to ensure that the Navy and Marine Corps can continue their mission both at home and abroad. He will discuss how the talented, well trained people of Navy Medicine provided care from established Navy medical platforms, using high level performance and evaluation to project medical power during this pandemic. An opportunity for questions will follow. The registration deadline is Tuesday, October 13. The Zoom link to participate will be emailed to registrants 30 minutes prior to the start of the event.
