Join GS Student Life for a series of talkback discussions on movies that have shed light on various social justice and identity topics. During this session, students will discuss key elements in the movie Hidden Figures with Dean of Students, Marlyn Delva. The award winning film, Hidden Figures tells the phenomenal untold story of Katherine Jonson, Dorothy Vaughan, and Mary Jackson--three African-American women at NASA who served a vital role during the early years of the United States space program. This space will offer the opportunity to engage in a critical discussion regarding gender and race. To participate, students must watch the selected movie prior to the discussion. The Zoom link to participate will be emailed to registrants 30 minutes prior to the start of the event. If you have not received the Zoom link at this time please email [email protected]
