GS Student Life invites you to experience the New York Historical Society’s special exhibition on how Jewish delicatessens became a cornerstone of American food and culture through Jewish immigrants, mostly from Central and Eastern Europe. It explores the food of immigration, the heyday of the deli in the interwar period, delis and Broadway, and stories of Holocaust survivors and war refugees who worked in delis.
