GS Prehealth Network Fall Speaker Series

November 18, 2025
6:00 PM - 7:00 PM
America/New_York
Online

The GS Prehealth Network Speaker Series is designed for Postbac Premed and prehealth undergraduate students at the Columbia University School of General Studies who self-identify as coming from backgrounds underrepresented in medicine. The goal of this speaker series is to introduce students to current medical students and practitioners who will share their experiences, advice, and guidance on navigating the premedical journey from an underrepresented perspective.

GS is firmly committed to fostering a welcoming and inclusive community that celebrates the diverse experiences of its student body. All GS students, regardless of identity or sex, are welcome to attend these sessions.

We are thrilled to announce that on Tuesday, November 18, from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. (via Zoom), we will be joined by Dr. Marwah Abdalla.

Marwah Abdalla, MD, MPH, is a clinical cardiologist, cardiac intensivist, and the Florence Irving Associate Professor of Medicine at Columbia University Medical Center. She serves as the Director of Education for the Cardiac Intensive Care Unit and is a full-time faculty member in the Center for Behavioral Cardiovascular Health at Columbia.
