The application period for the Fall 2026 Bancroft Research Scholars Program will be open from July 1 through August 15, 2026.
The Bancroft Research Scholars Program provides GS students with the opportunity and funding to engage in undergraduate research during the academic year. Through this program, students can enhance their academic experience, cultivate intellectual curiosity and critical thinking skills, and prepare for graduate study or research-oriented careers.
A limited number of GS students will be selected to collaborate with a Columbia faculty member on a research project during either the Fall or Spring semester. Each selected scholar will receive $2,200 in funding for one semester to support their research and related expenses, including supplies, materials, and travel costs.
