Montana Roesch ’24GS
Founder of Dragon Bait Creative, GSAA Outreach and Communications Committee Member
Montana Roesch is a 2024 graduate of Columbia University’s School of General Studies. After a childhood career in the entertainment industry, she transferred to Columbia from Santa Monica College, where she earned dual associate degrees. During her time at Columbia, Montana became an active member of the student body, serving as a Peer Advisor with the Academic Resource Center and earning a certification in business and entrepreneurship from Columbia Business School.
Since graduating, Montana has founded Dragon Bait Creative (DBC), a multimedia creative direction and production company that serves a diverse range of clients. Her projects span from creative directing her signature live-event series, "Finishing School", to collaborations with New York City museums, galleries, and innovative climate-tech startups. Montana specializes in transforming multimedia storytelling into dynamic and elevated marketing and branding solutions.
When she’s not leading DBC, Montana is an author of works ranging from academic essays to full-length fiction novels. Her latest academic paper, “The Coquette Avenged: 19th-Century Sentimental Literature’s Influence on 21st-Century Romantasy,” will be presented in the American Literature category at the American Pop Culture Association’s 2025 Conference.

Communications and Branding Strategist
Laura was a celebrity stylist and brand strategist for over 15 years prior to starting at GS in 2020. When she moved to New York her first roommate was a GS student and helped inspire her own return to school..Laura graduated in 2025 with a degree in sustainable development. At Columbia, she was a peer advisor, a recipient of a GS Service Award, and was inducted into the GS Honor Society. Today, she partners with mission-driven organizations and companies to drive change through impact assessments, stakeholder research, cultural analysis, and strategic communication.
