Sara Remedios

Dean Remedios Bloom joined Columbia GS in 2014 as part of a team tasked with expanding academic support programming for GS students.  She now directs the Academic Resource Center in addition to overseeing the Dean of Students Office's student success initiatives. Her teaching experience includes college writing, literature, and (at Columbia) Contemporary Civilization.  She holds a B.A. in English literature and political science from Washington University in St. Louis and a Ph.D. in English literature from the City University of New York, with research interests including cultural memory, British modernism, and literature for children and young adults.
