A modeling career was not something supermodel Sara Ziff ever considered, but as a freshman walking home from Bronx Science, she was approached by a fashion photographer. Fourteen years later, Ziff, who has been the face of Stella McCartney and has walked for Prada, Alexander McQueen, and Chanel, to name a few, will graduate from GS with a Bachelor of Arts on May 16.
Beginning Aug. 1, Columbia University School of General Studies, founded in 1947 in response to GIs returning from World War II, will be one of 15 schools at Columbia University slated to participate in the Yellow Ribbon GI Education Enhancement Program, part of the Post-9/11 Veterans Educational Assistance Act of 2008.
