Position Description
The Canman Lab at the Columbia University Irving Medical Center is seeking a responsible Columbia undergraduate who is eligible for work-study to work as a lab assistant in the cell biology lab.
Responsibilities include:
- Assisting with general research support including pouring worm plates, seeding plates with bacterial cultures to feed the worms, preparing lab solutions, freezing down laboratory stocks
- General lab tasks
Position Requirements
- Should have enough work-study funding available for a full year of work (~$2000)
Time Commitment
Part-time, 1 day a week for roughly 3 - 5 continuous hours, with a two-year commitment.
Compensation
$15 per hour paid using work study funds
