Position Description
NYU Children's Health and Environment Study is recruiting data volunteers to assist with the project that is based on a decade-long history of successful observational and interventional studies that recruit pregnant women at NYUSoM. Beginning in the first trimester of pregnancy, NYU CHES has recruited and enrolled over 2000 women from diverse populations served by NYU Tisch, NYU Brooklyn and Bellevue Hospital. NYU CHES Postnatal is the pediatric follow up phase. This position may fulfill a practicum requirement.

Responsibilities include

  • Attending orientation and other trainings 
  • Performing data entry and assisting with data management
  • Working closely with the data management team to identify, design, and build appropriate datasets
  • Administering questionnaires to study participants, including those with limited English proficiency
  • Assisting staff during study visits with enrolled parents and their babies 

Position Requirements 

  • Must be a student pursuing their MA, MPH, MS, and or MD
  • Proficiency in SAS, Python, and/or R, a plus 
  • Coursework or work experience involving programming and statistics, a plus 

Time Commitment
Part-time, 10-15 hours per week for 3 months to 1 year.
