Position Description
The Department of Bariatric and Minimally Invasive Surgery at Mount Sinai Morningside is seeking a volunteer to help with patient education and outreach including social media.
Responsibilities include:
- Interacting with patients
- Explaining doctor’s orders for preparation before and after medical procedures
- Reaching out to patients to explain the virtual services offered
- Creating content for distribution (eg flyers, powerpoint slides)
- Engaging with patients and prospective patients on social media
- Running Zoom meetings
Position Requirements
- Previous teaching experience is a plus
- Interest in working with social media is a plus
Time Commitment
Part-time, with 2 to 5 hours per week virtually via zoom, often in the evening. Work on Tuesdays from 6-8pm is required. The desired start date is immediate.
