Position Description
The Albert Einstein College of Medicine is seeking a volunteer clinical research intern to assist with their ongoing Malaria study.
Responsibilities include:
- Collecting retrospective patient data regarding malaria including demographic data, medical history, travel history, clinical presentation, anti-malarial drugs used, malaria treatment regimen, parasitemia throughout treatment, associated complications during treatment, adverse reactions, outcome and follow up to Malaria diagnosis
- Ensuring patient files are appropriately flagged for further evaluation
- Collaborating with PI to organize and deliver data to centralized system
- Supporting additional educational efforts as needed for the grant
Position Requirements
- Currently enrolled in an accredited college degree program
- Must be able to travel between clinic locations in the Bronx and Harlem
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office. May use other web-based programs as assigned
- Employee may work weekends and/or evenings depending on preference/flexibility
Time Commitment
Part-time, with a minimum of 10-15 hours per week
