Position Description
Saints Joachim & Anne Nursing and Rehab Center in Brooklyn, NY (2720 Surf Ave, Brooklyn, NY 11224) is seeking volunteer clinical interns to assist with wound care rounds led by a general surgeon. Interns will be exposed to a wide variety of wounds afflicting patients and learn about wound etiologies and treatments including wound stages, anatomy, and surgical procedures.
Responsibilities include:
- Assisting the general surgeon during examinations and surgical procedures
- Recording wound dimensions, descriptions, and treatments
Position Requirements
- Must be able to attend the entire duration of rounds every Thursday for six consecutive months
Time Commitment
Part-time (every Thursday with rounds starting at 6:45 a.m. - 3 p.m.), with a minimum commitment of six consecutive months
