Position Description
Mount Sinai Morningside is seeking volunteers for its Emergency Department, Delirium Program, and Ambulatory Surgery department. 

Responsibilities include:

Emergency Department

  • Managing patient care and comfort

Delerium Program

  • Providing non-medical interventions to promote cognitive stimulation, reorient to the environment, and increase mobility
  • Treating active cases of delirium
  • Prevent delirium in high risk cases

Ambulatory Surgery 

  • Assisting with wayfinding
  • Providing care/comfort for the patient’s care provider

  • Completing errands/assistance as requested by the staff

Time Commitment
Part-time, 4 hours per week. Minimum total commitment of 100 hours over six months.
For the Delirium Program, 12:30 - 5 p.m. once a week.
