Position Description
The Managing Obesity Through Innovation and Effectiveness Laboratory at NYU School of Medicine is seeking research assistants to help with two lifestyle interventions.

Responsibilities include:

  • Recruiting and conducting interviews with patients
  • Collecting and managing qualitative and quantitative data
  • Piloting and translating study materials and measurement protocols
  • Preparing abstracts and manuscripts.

Position Requirements

  • Native proficiency in Spanish a plus
  • Experience working with socioeconomically and/or racially/ethnically diverse populations
  • Familiarity with Epic, REDCap, EndNote, MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Working toward or have completed a bachelor’s or master’s degree in a relevant area of health (e.g., Psychology, Public Health, Health Promotion, Education, Pre-Health, Sociology, Kinesiology, or Nutrition)

Time Commitment
Part-time, in-person and remote, 7-10 hours per week. Applicants must be able to commit to 12 months including availability during the summer.
