Position Description
The Managing Obesity Through Innovation and Effectiveness Laboratory at NYU School of Medicine is seeking a research intern interested in pursuing a career in healthcare and obesity-related research to assist in research projects at NYU Langone to improve the treatment of obesity in primary care.

Responsibilities include:

  • Conducting literature searches
  • Recruiting patients/subjects in person, by phone and/or mail
  • Performing study visits
  • Piloting materials in primary care, data analysis, abstract and manuscript preparation
  • Performing other administrative duties as assigned

Time Commitment
Part-time, with 10-15 hours on average required per week including weekly research team meetings currently held on Mondays at 1 p.m. Applicants must be able to commit to one year, including availability during the summer.
