Position Description
The Managing Obesity Through Innovation and Effectiveness Laboratory at NYU School of Medicine, physically located at the VA medical Center in Manhattan, is seeking bright, motivated research interns interested in pursuing a career in healthcare and obesity-related research to assist in research projects at NYU Langone to improve the treatment of obesity in primary care.

Responsibilities include:

  • Conducting literature searches
  • Recruiting patients/subjects in person, by phone and/or mail
  • Performing study visits
  • Piloting materials in primary care, data analysis, abstract and manuscript preparation
  • Performing other administrative duties as assigned

Time Commitment

Part time, 10-15 hours on average required per week including weekly research team meetings currently held on Mondays at 10 am. Applicants must be able to commit to one full academic year, including availability during the summer.
