Position Description
Silver Hill Hospital is seeking a psychiatric technician to assist in the formulation and execution of all aspects of a patient's treatment plan, maintain a safe and therapeutic milieu, and collaborate with other health care providers in the Hospital's quality improvement initiatives. This is a suitable role for those looking to gain experience before or during application to graduate programs in medicine, psychology, nursing, or social work.

Responsibilities include:

• Adhering to Silver Hill Hospital policies and support the mission and goals of the hospital
• Representing Silver Hill Hospital in a positive, appropriate manner, on duty or off
• Maintaining cordial, professional relationships with other Silver Hill Hospital staff and contribute to team efforts
• Maintaining confidentiality at all times

Position Requirements

• Experience with mentally ill, eating disorder, or addicted patient population a plus.

• Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Social Work or a health related field a plus.

Time Commitment
Full time and per diem roles available. Per Diem's must work a minimum of 4 shifts per month, at least one of which will be on a weekend or as weekend backup. Shifts are 12 hours in length. Applicants should be able to commit to the role for a minimum of 12 months
