Position Description
This is a position for a part time medical assistant in a small upper east side dermatology office. You will be largely patient-facing, taking medical histories and assisting with medical, surgical, and cosmetic procedures. You will also have the opportunity to interact with insurance companies, pharmacies, and billing. You will wear many hats and learn a significant amount of basic dermatology. This position has been filled by post-bacc/pre-med people for over 15 years. It is my pleasure to mentor my assistants as they apply to medical school. This is a perfect gap year position and is also open to those still enrolled in the post-bac premed program.
Position Requirements
Undergraduate degree required. Please do not apply if you are still an undergraduate student.
Time Commitment
Must commit to one full year of part time work. Must be available to start work immediately.
Compensation
1 year or more, approximately 18-25 hours/week. Must be available at least 2 full days/week.
