Position Description:
36 North Moore Dermatology, a boutique medical and cosmetic dermatology practice located in Tribeca, Manhattan, is seeking a part-time Concierge / Medical Assistant (MA) to support patient care and office operations. This role offers an exceptional opportunity to gain clinical experience in one of the most competitive specialties in medicine, while also developing core skills in patient interaction, outpatient care, and medical decision-making. Candidates will work directly with Dr. Evan Rieder, one of the only U.S. physicians dual board-certified in both dermatology and psychiatry.
Responsibilities include:

Greeting and registering patients, verifying insurance, scheduling appointments, and collecting payments

Escorting patients to and from treatment rooms

Taking brief patient histories and obtaining informed consent

Assisting with procedures and preparing exam rooms based on appointment types

Maintaining a clean and well-stocked clinical environment

Performing instrument sterilization (training provided)

Communicating with patients throughout their care journey

Supporting front desk and clinical operations as needed
Position Requirements:

A 1-year minimum commitment is required (2 years preferred)

Strong interpersonal skills and professionalism

Interest in dermatology, psychiatry, or pursuing a career in healthcare

Prior experience in a medical or customer service setting is a plus, but not required

Must be detail-oriented, reliable, and compassionate
Time Commitment:
10–15 hours per week to start, with the potential to increase hours after Summer 2025
Compensation:
Paid; compensation varies based on experience
