Position Description:
Advanced Eyecare of NY, led by Dr. Daniel Laroche, is seeking clinical volunteers to support patient care and gain hands-on experience in an ophthalmology setting. Volunteers will rotate between the Harlem and Queens Village locations and have the opportunity to observe and assist in a diverse clinical environment. This is an ideal role for pre-med or pre-health students interested in ophthalmology or general medicine.
Responsibilities include:

Learning and assisting with visual field testing, fundus photography, and OCT imaging

Observing patient care in a high-volume clinical practice

Supporting clinical operations under supervision of experienced ophthalmology professionals
Position Requirements:

Hardworking, punctual, responsible, and compassionate

Strong interest in medicine or eye care

Professional demeanor and willingness to learn
Time Commitment:

Minimum of 4 hours per week, morning or afternoon shift

Commitment per semester required; preference for students who can offer additional availability
