Position Description
The College of Dental Medicine and Columbia University Irving Medical Center is seeking a Technician B to join their team. In this full-time position, the successful will work within the Section of Oral Diagnostic and Rehabilitation Sciences, reporting to Dr. Yiping Han, Professor of Microbial Sciences. Incumbents should demonstrate drive, excellent scientific vigor, critical thinking, written and oral communication skills and ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
Responsibilities Include:
- Organizing the lab
- Maintaining laboratory equipment
- Experimenting to study host-pathogen interactions in human diseases
- Participating in literature study and manuscript writing
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in chemistry, biology or physics or equivalent in education, training and experience.
- Knowledge of various related laboratory procedures and techniques preferred.
- One year of related experience preferred.
- Prior wet-lab experience
