Position Description
The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Weill Cornell Medical College is seeking a motivated and passionate Assistant Research Coordinator to join a clinical research team focused on Fetal and Neonatal Alloimmune Thrombocytopenia (FNAIT). This is an exciting gap-year opportunity for recent graduates interested in maternal-fetal medicine and clinical research. The role provides hands-on experience with patient interaction, data collection, and academic writing in a fast-paced research setting.
Responsibilities include

Acting as the clinical coordinator for FNAIT-related research projects

Identifying, recruiting, and consenting study participants

Following up with patients and clearly explaining study procedures

Collecting, reviewing, and analyzing research data and records

Assisting with protocol development and consent form preparation

Submitting and editing academic manuscripts

Adhering to HIPAA, IRB, and Good Clinical Practice (GCP) guidelines
