Position Description

The Kadoch Laboratory at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute is seeking a highly motivated post-baccalaureate student to join the lab as a full-time Research Associate/Technician focused on cancer biology, epigenetics, and chromatin regulation.

The lab uses multidisciplinary approaches—including biochemistry, biophysics, structural biology, chemical biology, epigenomics, and related methodologies—to study chromatin remodeling complexes that are frequently mutated in human cancers and other diseases.

Responsibilities include:

  1. Work directly with Dr. Cigall Kadoch and senior lab members
  2. Contribute to independent research projects
  3. Collaborate across Harvard and MIT research centers and international institutions
  4. Earn authorship on publications
  5. Present work at local, national, and international meetings

This role is ideal for students planning to pursue PhD, MD, or MD/PhD programs following their tenure in the lab.

Position Requirements

Applicants should have advanced experience (typically 1–2 years of prior lab research) in one or more of the following areas:

  1. Molecular biology
  2. Cell culture and model systems
  3. Protein biochemistry
  4. Structural biology
  5. Cell biology
  6. Genetics and/or genomics methodologies

Strong letters of recommendation and relevant undergraduate coursework are expected.

The ideal candidate will be:

  1. Highly motivated and goal-oriented
  2. Detail-oriented and organized
  3. Strong in communication and analytical skills
  4. Able to work both independently and collaboratively

Time Commitment

  1. Full-time
  2. Two-year commitment required
  3. Intended for Spring 2026 graduates planning to apply to top-tier graduate and/or medical programs after completing the position
