Position Description
Silver Hill Hospital is seeking a research associate to manage the operations of clinical outcomes assessment and assisting with other patient-oriented data collection procedures at Silver Hill Hospital, with a particular focus on its Center for the Treatment and Study of Neuropsychiatric Disorders.

Responsibilities include:

  • Coordinating the surveying of patients at admission, during treatment, at discharge and follow-up.
  • Obtaining relevant permissions, consents, and contact information necessary for outcomes follow-up and any IRB-approved research protocols conducted at the hospital.
  • Obtaining assessments during and after treatment from patients, providers, and family members through the use of paper, tablet, or phone-based administration.
  • Preparing research protocols as needed for submission to the Institutional Review Board
  • Assisting in the development and management of databases for clinical outcomes evaluation and other research projects.
  • Preparing necessary dashboards for review of key performance indicators.
  • Using Microsoft or other products to prepare graphs and spreadsheets of results as well as presentation slides and posters for hospital presentations and professional society conferences.
  • Collecting, entering, downloading, managing, transforming, or recoding data depending on particular project and analytical needs.
  • Creating weekly, monthly, or as-needed enrollment, completion, or other status reports on current projects.

Position Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Public Health, Psychology, Statistics, or other Behavioral Science field in which the course of study involved classes in research methods, statistics, and test administration or Bachelor’s degree with prior experience as a research assistant interacting with participants and with data management.
  • Two years of patient-oriented research or outcomes measurement experience, preferably with mental health or addiction population.
  • Experience with Qualtrics and Tableau.
  • Experience with data management and analysis software and Microsoft products, particular Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
