Position Description
The Weill Cornell Medicine Piskounova Lab is seeking a research assistant to head a cancer research team.
Responsibilities include:
- Organizing equipment and reagents. Place orders as needed. Ensure laboratory is in compliance with safety and environmental regulations
- Communicating with vendors, service personnel and laboratory administration
- Culturing and manipulating human cell lines and xenograft tumors, including drug administration and RNA interference experiments
Position Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Life sciences or a related scientific discipline with two years experience or a Master’s degree with requisite knowledge and skills
- Background in mammalian cell culture and/or molecular biology
- Experience with computer systems including web-based application and Microsoft Office suite.
- Experience with relational databases (e.g. Filemaker Pro) and image software (e.g. Adobe Photoshop) a plus.
- Prior experience with breeding and experimentation of laboratory rodents a plus

$20 - $25 / hour
