Position DescriptionPosition Description
The Columbia University Irving Medical Center is looking for a program coordinator to help support federally funded and hospital-supported research projects of the Center for Patient Safety Research.
Responsibilities include:
- Providing day-to-day support and logistics for research activities
- Tracking timelines and progress of research projects in the Patient Safety Research Program portfolio
- Coordinating Center for Patient Safety Research training programs for fellows and students, including recruitment, maintaining program records and databases, and ongoing monitoring
- Organizing meetings and communicating with internal and external collaborators about project activities and timelines
- Collecting, entering, and managing data for various study projects
- Communicating with and preparing materials for participants and staff
- Managing IRB protocols, including development, preparation, and submission of IRB documents, modifications, and renewals
- Supporting research grant administration, including preparation of progress reports
- Conducting literature searches and writing literature reviews for grant proposals and manuscripts
- Contributing to the development and submission of scientific abstracts, posters, presentations, and publications reporting study results, including graphic and tabular data displays
- Assisting with other research-related and administrative tasks as needed
