Position Description
We are seeking a college graduate pre-medical student to work as a Medical Assistant (MA) in our Upper East Side Plastic Surgery Practice. Applicants must be personable, well-spoken, have excellent computer skills and be willing and able to learn quickly. The MA will have many clinical responsibilities and learning opportunities, working closely with the Plastic Surgeon, seeing patents before, during and after surgery in the in-office operating room, The MA will also have administrative duties such as preparing patients' paperwork prior to surgery, answering patient calls and emails, and scheduling patients and ordering supplies. The MA will be trained by the current MA and the Plastic Surgeon.
Position Requirements
College graduate, and ideally a graduate of the Postbac program. The ideal candidate will be a full time employee with a 1 year commitment. Part-time candidates may be considered as well.
Time Commitment
30-40 hrs/week
