Position Description
Rapaport Plastic Surgery & Coolspa is seeking a medical assistant, ideally to start in January 2021 (accepting applicants looking to start in May/June as well). Position requires commitment until summer of 2022.
Responsibilities include:
- Assisting with office procedures (injections, mole removals, scar revisions) and consultations (mostly aesthetic)
- Giving pre-operative/post-operative instructions to patients, circulating during surgical operations (breast augmentations, liposuctions, facelifts etc.) with the potential to eventually scrub in during some operations, sterilize operating equipment, keeping the operating room and treatment rooms stocked
Performing Coolsculpting (a non-invasive fat reduction technology)
- Working at the front desk
- Managing patient flow
Position Requirements
- Must have previously taken the MCAT, and do not plan on retaking, before starting this position
- Previous medical experience a plus
Time Commitment
Full-time, starting in January 2021. A commitment of 1 year is required; however, additional time may be an option.
