Position Description
The Saenger Laboratory at Albert Einstein College of Medicine is seeking a Laboratory Technician/Research Coordinator in cancer immunology and immunotherapy. Ongoing projects include developing organoid models to predict response to immunotherapy and understanding the role of inflammation induced by liver cirrhosis in determining the tumor immune micro-environment with a focus on the completment system.

There will be opportunities to shadow in the clinic as well as to present work at local and national meetings and to co-author publications.

As a physician scientist, Dr. Yvonne Saenger will provide valuable mentorship experiences to aspiring MD, PhD, and MD/PhD students and support them throughout the application process. Previous mentees have enrolled at prestigious medical school programs at NYU, Columbia, Mount Sinai and Johns Hopkins among others.

Responsibilities include:

  • Participating in study-related activities within the Cancer Immunotherapy Program including enrollment, study procedures, and regulatory and institutional requirements
