Position Description
The Child Mind Institute is seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to work as an intake coordinator in their Harlem office for the Healthy Brain Network (HBN), an exciting initiative aimed at collecting imaging genetic and phenotypic data from 10,000 children and adolescents throughout NYC. The intake coordinator works closely with the clinical and research team to support families interested in participating in the healthy brain network. The intake coordinator serves as a liaison between the HBN team and participants and families. 

Responsibilities Include:

  • Communicating professionally with new participants via phone and email providing information about participation in the HBN and answers to frequently-asked questions
  • Completing initial screening and scheduling of participant intake appointments
  • Ensuring that required participant information is entered into scheduling databases
  • Reviewing newly scheduled cases with the clinical and research teams for appropriate case assignments
  • Sending out all introductory paperwork and participant portal enrollment instructions as needed
  • Creating new participant charts and the Ripple Science scheduling platform
  • Assisting in training new research or administrative staff regarding scheduling processes and procedures
  • Assisting in maintaining accurate and up-to-date tracking systems for the HBN waitlist

Position Requirements

  • Strong interpersonal communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to provide participants and their families with compassionate and efficient support through their experience with HBN
  • Professional demeanor and attitude; ability to interface with families as well as senior leadership clinicians and staff
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to maintain discretion and integrity
  • Prior experience within a clinical setting a plus
  • Passion for the Child Mind Institute's mission

Time Commitment
Full-time, minimum one-year commitment

Compensation
$39K to $43K per year
