Position Description
The Weill Cornell Medical College Cardiac Imaging Program is seeking a full-time Research Assistant to support NIH-funded and foundation-supported research focused on cardiac imaging, outcomes research, and the development of new imaging technologies. The position offers hands-on experience working with a multidisciplinary team of physicians and biomedical engineers and provides opportunities for clinical exposure, conference attendance, shadowing, and co-authorship on research publications.
Responsibilities include:
- Coordinating active research protocols and clinical studies
- Assisting with patient enrollment and study coordination
- Managing data collection, archival, compilation, and analysis
- Supporting regulatory and administrative activities, including IRB submissions and budgeting
- Collaborating with physicians, engineers, and research staff
- Participating in clinical and educational opportunities related to cardiology and imaging
Position Requirements
- Interest in cardiology, medical imaging, or clinical research
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Scientific background or interest in a long-term medical research career preferred, but not required
- Must be authorized to work in the United States (CPT and OPT candidates are eligible)
Time Commitment
Full-time; 1–2 year commitment preferred
Compensation
$20–$30 per hour
