Non-Certified Medical Assistant
Position Description
Impact Medical is a multi-site Allergy, Asthma & Immunology practice with locations across New Jersey and New York. The practice is seeking a self-motivated, hard-working pre-medical student planning to take one or two gap years to gain meaningful clinical experience. Medical assistants work closely with board-certified allergists and a multidisciplinary clinical team, with opportunities for mentorship and exposure to clinical research.
No prior certification or clinical experience is required.
Responsibilities include:
- Conducting patient intake
- Assisting nurses and physicians during visits
- Performing pulmonary function testing
- Triaging phone calls
- Assisting physicians with medical notes
- Formatting consultation reports and sending them to referring providers
- Supporting general clinical workflow
Position Requirements
- Pre-med student taking 1–2 gap years
- Self-motivated and dependable
- Willingness to work across multiple office locations if needed
- Strong interest in gaining clinical experience
Time Commitment
- Full-time
- Gap-year role (typically 1–2 years)
- May rotate between NJ and NY locations
