Position Description
The Division of Liver Diseases and the Research Division of the Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology and Reproductive Science at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai is looking for a clinical research assistant to support the research portfolio of Dr. Tatyana Kushner.

Responsibilities include: 

  • Screening and enrolling study candidates.
  • Collecting and recording study data into REDCap.
  • Meeting with participants after the consent process to review study requirements, and answering additional questions.
  • Assisting in the activities related to clinical research studies including but not limited to: recruiting subjects, administering questionnaires, completing visit checklists, and answering protocol-clarifying questions.
  • Ensuring future visits are scheduled and patients are aware of upcoming appointments.
  • Assisting in preparing new and continuing review submissions as well as progress reports to sponsors and institutional regulatory bodies such as the IRB and Grants and Contracts Office.
  • Ensuring accurate and complete compilation of subject data through chart reviews.
  • Securing, delivering and shipping clinical specimens as required by the protocols.
  • Performing other related duties as required.

     

Position Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree health-related scientific discipline with skills in epidemiology, biostatistics, and/or public health as well as knowledge of data management.
  • One or more years of experience in research in a hospital and/or academic environment is a plus.
  • Experience working with an Obstetrics population is a plus.
  • Outstanding professionalism and excellent ability to communicate with varying levels of leadership and diverse team of practitioners is required.
  • Spanish language ability is a plus.
