Position Description
Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston, MA is seeking a Clinical Research Assistant I to support ongoing clinical research studies focused on hypertension and cardiovascular disease. The role offers hands-on experience working with patients, physicians, and research investigators at one of the nation's leading academic medical centers. This is an ideal opportunity for recent graduates pursuing a gap year and preparing for medical or graduate school.
Responsibilities include:

Assisting in the coordination and management of clinical research studies

Recruiting and evaluating study participants

Performing basic clinical procedures (e.g., blood pressure measurement, EKG, vital signs)

Collecting and managing biological specimens
-
Educating participants on study procedures and ensuring follow-up

Maintaining accurate data records and participant databases

Supporting data analysis, report generation, and manuscript/grant preparation

Handling general administrative tasks, inventory, and supply ordering
Position Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree required

Excellent organizational and communication skills

Professional demeanor and strong interpersonal skills

Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks

Interest in medicine and clinical research; prior experience preferred
Time Commitment:

Full-time, 40 hours per week

Two-year commitment required
Compensation:
Paid position; salary commensurate with experience and institutional guidelines
