Position Description
Kuchnir Dermatology is seeking highly motivated Columbia pre-med seniors who plan to matriculate to medical school after one or more gap years. This paid opportunity provides an immersive clinical experience, allowing students to work closely with experienced physicians in a fast-paced dermatology practice.
Responsibilities include:

Assisting physicians with patient care and dermatologic procedures

Learning and performing clinical tasks in a hands-on setting

Engaging in research opportunities, with potential for publications

Developing patient interaction and communication skills

Collaborating with physicians, nurse practitioners, and fellow Gap Year students
Position Requirements

Bachelor’s degree (or in progress) in a pre-medical track

Strong academic record and interest in pursuing medicine

Excellent communication and organizational skills

Ability to work in a team-oriented clinical environment
Time Commitment
Full-time, one-year commitment
