Position Description

The Department of Pediatrics at Albert Einstein College of Medicine/Children’s Hospital at Montefiore Einstein is seeking a full-time, in-person Study Coordinator beginning June 2026. This role is ideal for recent graduates preparing for a career in medicine and offers extensive clinical and research exposure across multiple pediatric divisions, including rheumatology, critical care, genetics, general pediatrics, and hospital medicine.

The coordinator will work closely with department leadership, including the Chair of Pediatrics, and gain firsthand insight into the operations of an academic children’s hospital. The role also includes serving as a Resident Team Coordinator (RTC), supporting pediatric residents and contributing to holistic patient care on inpatient teams.

Responsibilities include:

  1. Screening and enrolling research participants
  2. Conducting research visits with patients and families
  3. Managing regulatory documentation and IRB submissions
  4. Data collection, entry, and management
  5. Assisting with manuscripts, abstracts, and grant preparation
  6. Presenting at conferences (opportunities available)
  7. Interacting frequently with physicians, nurses, patients, and families
  8. Attending departmental conferences, lectures, and grand rounds
  9. Serving as a liaison between patients and hospital services
  10. Supervising and coordinating the volunteer RTC team
  11. Assisting with departmental event planning

Position Requirements

  1. Strong academic record
  2. Previous research experience (preferred, not required)
  3. Excellent written and oral communication skills
  4. Strong critical thinking skills
  5. Detail-oriented, efficient, and flexible team player
  6. Spanish proficiency encouraged
  7. Basic knowledge of statistics or statistical software (R, SPSS, SAS) is a plus

Time Commitment

  1. Full-time, in-person
  2. Minimum 2-year commitment required
  3. Location: Bronx, New York
