Position Title

Clinical Research Coordinator

Position Description

Massachusetts General Hospital has one open Clinical Research Coordinator position supporting research in the Orthopedic Hand & Upper Extremity and Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery Departments. The coordinator will work closely with Drs. Neal Chen and Kyle Eberlin and collaborate with biostatisticians, data managers, and study staff to support clinical research projects.

This role provides hands-on experience across the full research lifecycle and is ideal for pre-med or gap-year students interested in academic medicine and clinical research.

Responsibilities include:

  1. Reporting to the PI and supporting study operations, data collection, quality control, and reporting
  2. Participating in all research phases, from study design to manuscript proofing
  3. Monitoring study compliance and facilitating staff trainings
  4. Collaborating across sites on study oversight, SOP development, and data quality assurance
  5. Assisting with preparation of posters and conference presentations
  6. Supporting progress reports, applications, and related research documents

Position Requirements

  1. Strong interest in clinical research and medicine
  2. Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
  3. Ability to work collaboratively with research teams
  4. Professional communication skills

Time Commitment

  1. 2-year commitment beginning Summer 2026
