2022 Graduation Ceremonies Travel Fund Application

We are very pleased that this May we will celebrate the Classes of 2020 and 2021, alongside the Class of 2022, in-person, on campus, together for GS Class Day and University Commencement. The GS Student Council in 2020 set aside funds to support the return to campus for alumni unable to celebrate their graduation in person during the traditional University Commencement and Class Day activities. The purpose of this fund is to ensure that no alumni who wants to return to celebrate their accomplishments is unable to do so because of financial reasons. 

If you require financial support in order to return to campus for year-end celebrations, please complete the questions below. With the exception of a few, particularly challenging scenarios, most awards will range from $50 to $400, depending on various factors including distance traveled and financial need. You will hear from us by April 8 if you are selected to receive funds. You may be required to provide receipts for expenses at a later date, and all recipients will be required to submit W9s and other necessary forms to be set up as a payee in the University financial systems. Stipends may take 4-8 weeks after the event to process.
